COME ON SUMMER!!

Beautiful Ballerina

Kaitlyn was so beautiful at her ballet recital. She did such a great job and never missed a step. We are so proud of her. We just wish she would stop growing up so fast.

New Addition

Our new addition Jet arrived on June 19th. We are happy to have him, and we are all exhausted from watching after him.

The Many Faces of Kaitlyn

I've noticed that even though Kaitlyn is just 5 years old she has perfected many different facial expressions over the years.
I found myself smiling and laughing out loud, as I'm sure you will too.

Just Havin' Fun

Saturday Kaitlyn and I went to the Safe Kids Fair. She had her face painted like a Bunny, and a clown made her a balloon hat. The hat kept hitting everyone in the face....it was pretty funny, we had a great time. We went to the park on Sunday to play and fly Kaitlyn's kite. She wasn't much interested in the kite, but Boston was.

CRAZY !!

This past week and a half has been crazy for the Swain kids. Boston had a double ear infection that we were treating with antibiotics, 5 days later he had a reaction to them. The reaction presented itself as a nasty skin virus called Erythema Multiforme. It is the ugliest thing I have ever seen. After these pictures were taken it got much, much worse. He started running a fever and at one point was lifeless and lethargic. His entire body, with the execption of his face had welts that were bright red with white centers and then later turned purple. The appearance of it in some spots looked like bruises. Not at all what you want to see on your baby. After all of this Kaitlyn came down with pink eye, and when we took them to their check-up appointment, Boston had another double ear infection which they treated with a mean little shot that we had to repeat 2 days later.
FUN TIMES!

Kaitlyn with Shirley Temple hair.....

This is what happened to Kaitlyn's hair when we attempted tying it in rags. WHOA! She said, "mom I look like that one girl from the movies." I replied with "what girl?" She said "Shirley Temple." I told her she was absolutely right.
